桂語謙 Eliz Guei

Interdisciplinary Creator

An interdisciplinary creator navigating the intersections of digital art, new media, and spatial design. Rooted in stage design and expanded through new media practice, my work blends technology and aesthetics to construct immersive narratives and speculative futures.

 

Drawing from internet culture and meme-based visual language, I explore generational emotions and cultural irony through themes of art, technology, equality, and fashion.

 

Current research within a Master’s program in Applied Arts investigates experimental methodologies integrating creative media with biotechnological processes. The practice extends into Xenoesis Lab, a research-based platform dedicated to rethinking cognition, identity, and technological expression.

Xenoesis Lab

What is Xenoesis?

Xenoesis Lab operates at the intersection of technology, art, cultural critique, and identity politics. Its name derives from Xeno- (strange, alien) and Noesis (thinking, cognition), reflecting the Lab’s mission to cultivate “strange thought” as a method of inquiry and invention.

We prototype alternative languages and speculative methods for emotional transmission in a hyper-mediated world. Rather than producing static objects, we construct frameworks for cognitive mutation—mapping forgotten mental terrains, engaging with non-human logics, and crafting experiential systems designed to expand the boundaries of the thinkable and the sensible.

Our approach does not reject the status quo but reconfigures it through poetic, paradoxical upgrades. Issues become experimental playgrounds, tools become scripts for transformation. Through this process, Xenoesis Lab forges a vocabulary for queer emotional-technological expression, grounded in the belief that true innovation begins with the mutation of thought itself.

What futures emerge when cognition mutates?
Our philosophy begins with this question. We believe that the infrastructures of thought define the architectures of culture. To innovate, we must redesign these infrastructures—not only through technological systems, but through poetic strategies, critical speculation, and queer methodologies.

All our works emerge from three inseparable dimensions—constituents not of separate departments, but of the DNA embedded in every project. They function as the compass that guides our inquiry and creative evolution.

Divergent Gene – The Dimension of Discursive Spirit

Core Question: Why does this matter—politically, poetically, philosophically?
This dimension ensures every work transcends form to engage power structures, identity politics, and dominant narratives.

Media Transcoding – The Dimension of Methodological Invention
Core Question: Through which languages, materials, or processes do we achieve this?
This dimension develops unique creative grammars, rewriting tools and processes to reconfigure how ideas move across media.​

Xenomeme Generation – The Dimension of Creative Becoming

Core Question: In what perceivable form does it ultimately exist?
This dimension concerns Materialization—the impulse to embody thought, to give flesh to philosophy.
